Documenta Praehistorica

Documenta Praehistorica (ISSN 1408-967X) is a yearly journal of archaeological interdisciplinary scientific research. It is one of the main world-wide international journals of interpretations of modern archaeological research data related to the processes and to the events in the European and Asian prehistory. Research papers and reports are published in English language and worldwide distributed. They are mainly focused on: cognition and materialities of prehistoric cultures, archaeogenetic studies, palaeo- demography, population dynamics and cultural trajectories in prehistory, settlement and landscape dynamics, climate anomalies, radiocarbon dating, palaeodietary reconstruction based on stable isotope analysis, chemistry in archaeology and palaeoenvironmental studies.

Documenta Praehistorica is available electronically (ISSN 1854-2492) at the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Arts, Department of Archaeology and on National and University Library, The Digital Library of Slovenia .

Volumes XXVIII (Neolithics studies 8) through XXXIII (Neolithic studies 19) are now available as PDF full texts on-line. Other issues of Documenta Praehistorica, Porocilo o raziskovanju paleolitika, neolitika in eneolitika v Slovenij and Porocilo o raziskovanju neolitika in eneolitika will be avaliable on-line in near future. Last issue (XXXIX; Neolithic studies 19) is under one year "emabargo" and is avaliable only to the authors.

Documenta Prahehistorica is included in the European Reference Index for the Humanities (ERIH) and is member of Crossref.org.

Call for papers

The Documenta Praehistorica invites submissions of papers focussing on Eurasian Prehistory. The original manuscripts to be considered should be submitted no later than March 31, 2013.

The Documenta Praehistorica 40 volume (2013) aims to provide a platform for presenting actual and relevant research and development within the area of a new, innovative advances combining scientific and theoretical approaches related to the processes, and to the events in the European and Asian prehistory. Longer research articles as well short reports are welcome.
