Conference: Inhabiting Wounded Landscapes and Environments: Interdisciplinary and Sensorial Explorations

12 December 2025 (09:45, CET)

Online (via Zoom) and in person (Department of Ethnology and Cultural Anthropology, Faculty of Arts, Ljubljana)

This conference adopts an interdisciplinary and experiential lens to explore transformation in post-disaster contexts. By bringing together perspectives from anthropology, environmental humanities, geography, the arts, and related fields, it foregrounds the embodied and sensory experiences and memories that linger in post-disaster landscapes and environments. The conference will feature keynote lectures by renowned anthropologist Tim Ingold (via Zoom) and multidisciplinary scholar and artist Dr. Vic McEwan (in person). The event also marks the 85th anniversary of the department and the University Week.
