- basic morphological and syntactic characteristics of Latin language
- basic grammatical structures
- correct reading of Latin texts according to the rules of classical and traditional pronunciations
- basic vocabulary
- semantic development of individual words, used as foreign words, particularly within the technical terminology of humanities (based on the selected material)
- formation of regular forms, phrases and short sentences according to the linguistic rules of classical Latin;
- recognizing Latin grammatical structures and finding their parallels in modern European languages;
- independent use of Latin reference literature;
- understanding and translating basic (adapted) Latin originals
- understanding of the presence of classical antiquity and Latin humanism within European culture
