French Grammar 4:
The course consists of two sub-courses:
a) French grammar 4 – lectures
b) French grammar tutorials
Students gain familiarity with those parts of speech which have not yet been discussed in French I, II and III (pronouns, adjectives and adverbs) as well as with the structure of the prepositional phrase. Special emphasis will be placed on the relationship between structure, meaning, and function in comparison to Slovene, whereby students are encouraged to develop effective translation strategies.
Students are encouraged to compare grammatical categories of French and Slovene and to consider the different ways of expressing selected elements of French grammar in Slovene and to consider the different ways of expressing certain elements of French grammar in Slovene.
During the tutorials, students practice the chapters dealt within lectures on practical examples.
