Department of Ethnology and Cultural Anthropology

Assoc. Prof. Vito Hazler

Born in 1952, in Maribor. He finished his studies of ethnology and history of art in 1979 (diploma work on the way of life of the inhabitants of the Hrastje in Latkova vas hamlet) at the Faculty of Arts in Ljubljana. He finished his doctoral studies in1998, with the theses The Historical Development, the Analysis and the Model of the Ethnological Conservation in Slovenia (Zgodovinski razvoj, analiza in model etnološkega konservatorstva na Slovenskem). He was given the title Assistant Professor in 1999, and the title Associative Professor in 2005.

Member of ICOMOS and the International Organization of Folk Art, member of the Slovenian Ethnological Society (Slovenskega etnološkega društva), the Slovenian Conservation Society (Slovenskega konservatorskega društva), the Slovenian Archeological Society (Slovenskega arheološkega društva) and the Slovenian Society for the History of Art (Slovenskega umetnostnozgodovinskega društva).
